DAILY SPIRITUAL BREAKFAST: Young Believers

 
so I replied by sending this message to them: “I am engaged in a great work, so I can’t come. Why should I stop working to come and meet with you?” (NLT)
 
Priorities need to be established in the life of a leader. A leader has to know when to work and when to meet. A leader needs to know when he needs to defend himself and when he has to let the LORD defend him. It is hard sometimes to have discernment when to speak and when to let the LORD speak.
Here we find Nehemiah being asked to defend his actions before his enemies. He realized that they wanted to cause him harm. They were willing to kill him to keep the work from being done.
