READ Ezekiel 40 COMMENTARY: : 2 In the visions of God brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain, by which was as the frame of a city on the south. (4759 “visions” [mar‘ah] means looking glass, mode of revelation, mirror, apparition, appearance, to see, or sight.) DEVOTION: In the Old Testament the LORD revealed truths to HIS people through visions. The book of Hebrews informs us that “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by HIS Son, whom HE hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also HE made the worlds” [Hebrews 1: 1-2]. So we understand that those of us who live in the time period of the New Testament…
