(1651 “convicted” [elegcho] means bring to light, to shame by exposure, reprove, rebuke, convince, tell one’s faults, refute, to correct, to expose, or to find fault with.) DEVOTION:  What’s wrong with this picture? They had a woman who was caught in the act of sinning. If she was caught in the act of sinning, there had to be another person present.
