READ John 10 COMMENTARY: : 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him; for they know not the voice of strangers. (245 “stranger”[allotrios] means another man, foreign, not of one’s own family, an enemy, a person who does not belong in the environment in which they are found, or one belonging to another, or unfavorably disposed.) DEVOTION: There is a unique relationship between a believer and Jesus Christ. There is a unique relationship between a father and his child. The child knows the voice of his father when he enters the house. Most children know the footsteps of their father. They also know if a stranger is calling them. Jesus made it plain that those who are HIS followers know if someone is speaking the truth of the Word of God or not. As they listen…
